Aerating

Aerating is the process of creating small holes in the soil to allow air, water, and nutrients to reach the grass roots. This is typically done using a specialized machine called an aerator. Aerating is important for maintaining a healthy lawn because it relieves soil compaction, improves soil drainage, and encourages deeper root growth, which can lead to a more thriving lawn. It is usually done during the growing season when the grass is actively growing, and is an essential part of a complete lawn care program.

With our premium equipment, things like Aeration are a breeze and can be done in no time. This is typically conducted in tandem with composting or fertilization.

Composting

Following a thorough aeration of your yard, we follow it up with nutrient-rich compost. Compost is incredibly good for your yard because it improves the soil structure and allows it retain more water. This makes for stronger and healthier green grass.

Overseeding

Once your lawn is ready for seed, we overseed with top tier grass seed by evenly distributing additional grass seeds onto your existing lawn. This process is aimed at rejuvenating the turf’s density and appearance by encouraging the growth of new grass in areas that might be thin or bare. By introducing our A-List Certified Grass seed, overseeding helps create a fuller and more vibrant lawn, enhancing its overall health and visual appeal.

Soil Testing

We believe that understanding your soil is the foundation of a thriving lawn. Here’s how it works: we gather a small sample from your yard and send it to our partner lab in Virginia. In return, we receive a detailed analysis that tells us about  your soil’s composition, pH levels, nutrient content, and more.

But why is this analysis so crucial? Think of it as a roadmap to a healthier, happier yard. With this knowledge, we’re able to prescribe targeted treatments that are as unique to your soil’s fingerprint. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. From tailored fertilization plans to pinpointing pH adjustments, we’re equipped to make your yard’s dreams come true.

Mulching & Fertilizing

Mulching is the process of adding a layer of organic material, such as leaves, grass clippings, or wood chips, to the surface of soil. The purpose of mulching is to protect the soil and the plants growing in it by regulating soil temperature, conserving soil moisture, suppressing weed growth, and improving soil fertility as the organic material decomposes.

Meanwhile, fertilizing is like giving your grass a boost of energy. Just like how we need food to stay healthy, grass also needs certain nutrients to grow strong and green. The soil naturally contains some of these nutrients, but over time, they can become depleted due to mowing, weather conditions, and foot traffic. Fertilizing helps to replenish these nutrients, allowing your grass to grow thicker, greener, and more resistant to disease and pests.
